Dr. Jacques Hacquebord,MD Co-Director is committed to enhancing the well-being of patients of all ages by addressing a wide range of hand and upper extremity challenges with expert care and dedication.

Dr. Jacques Hacquebord is a dedicated hand and microsurgeon specializing in severe upper and lower extremity trauma.. Inspired during residency at a leading trauma hospital, he further refined his expertise through a hand and microsurgery fellowship and additional training in Asia.

At NYU Langone, Dr. Hacquebord is the chief of the Hand Surgery Division and treats individuals of all ages for complex nerve, vascular, and bony injuries, including amputations, non-unions, severe wounds, and brachial plexus injuries. He focuses on providing solutions and restoring meaningful function.

Collaborating with colleagues in orthopedic and plastic surgery, Dr. Hacquebord customizes treatments, including limb reconstruction for complex problems, emphasizing a team approach at the interface of both fields. As the assistant research director for NYU Langone’s Division of Hand Surgery, he actively contributes to basic and translational science, researching functional limb reconstruction for traumatic injuries. Awarded a 2017 traveling fellowship from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, he conducted extensive research in China and India, staying at the forefront of the field.
